Criminalizing our rights

                                         Criminalizing our rights

I get so up set at times watching TV. I see our free rights being flushed away. In California the Supreme Court said it was ok for same sex marriage, even though the people said no. Where are their rights? The state of Maine the same thing the people voted no, yet the governor over turned it. Again, where are their rights?  The homosexuality is going strong and if any one speaks against it they are wrong .Where are our rights to speak the truth. In a town in the north the folks are given a fine if their front door is found unlocked; the town police say it’s to keep crime down. We set back, and say crime is bad now days, they are right to do that. NO! They are not. I say if I find someone in my home that is not invited they better start running.  We have the right to live they way we want. The government does not have the right to criminalizing our rights as people of the United States. I remember back when I was a kid they made it a law to wear a helmet when riding on a motorcycle. It was a big deal and many people rose up against and fought it, and the law was changed. We have a voice and can change the laws by doing what the big businesses are doing. Look at the seatbelt law the insurance companies made that happen. Yes seatbelts do help. Even thought we are told one side of the statistics. We who are called of God follow Gods law.  It says in the word: Rom 13

3:1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.

2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.

3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? Do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:

4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.

5 Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.

6 For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God’s ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.

7 Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.

8 Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.

9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

11 And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.

12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.

13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.

14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof.

KJV
we have rights under any law to live the way we choose. We also have the right to vote them out of office that don’t listen to us. That is a God given right. Its time we stood up against those who don’t listen to us and get them out of office. When a hand full of people can change the way we live and they live like the devil its time for them to go. They can’t even rule there own home like God says to. Its time they were sent packing. We Christians in the United States still have rights although there are being taken away little by little  laws are being put in place to tie our hands little by little folks in places across the USA are put in jail for preaching the word on the streets against homosexuality. Yet, they can have parades down streets dressed in hideous clothing and that is ok? Church WAKE UP. Go to the streets and highways started reaching to the Lost at any cost. We are called to do so in Matt 24- Mark 16. We are commanded to go. What do you think would happen if some Christian would go to your favorite bar and start reading the Bible instead of buying a drink? Or we stood out side and waited for them to come out so we could speak to them about God? Time is short yes it’s been said a lot. Hmm, Could it be true? Yes. it is. It just upsets me to see our rights being stomped on like this.

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!

Sunday, May 11th, 2008

The Lord Jesus seen all that was being done and call them on it. Folks, its time we did the same. It time we stood up against the foes of our time. Let’s take a look at the Body of Christ today. There are millionaire preachers on television begging for money and the very watches they are wearing could feed hundreds of people for years.

I can understand what Jesus was saying when he said this:

 Matt 23:25

25 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.

KJV

Its time we open our eyes to see the evil they (the TV preachers) are doing to the Body of Christ. Good Christians are sending their tithes to them and lots more of their hard earned money, yet they are not doing what the Father commanded them to do, and that is sin. Books are being written on how to get stuff from God, books on how to get more faith and power this is aka the “how to books”. When all one has to do is open the BIBLE and read it for themselves. Christians spend a lot of money on how-to books when they could do what the Father has laid out for them in the Bible. It’s all there for them that read. Wake up you lazy bunch of so called Christian and do something about what is going on now. Jesus also said in   Matt 23:16

Woe unto you, ye blind guides, which say, whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor!

KJV

They are always asking for more money and never seem to get enough.

Matt 23:17-19

17 Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifieth the gold?

18 And, Whosoever shall swear by the altar, it is nothing; but whosoever sweareth by the gift that is upon it, he is guilty.

19 Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifieth the gift?

KJV Matt 23:20-21

20 Whoso therefore shall swear by the altar, sweareth by it, and by all things thereon.

21 And whoso shall swear by the temple, sweareth by it, and by him that dwelleth therein.

KJV

Jesus our Lord knew the answer he just wanted us to see the truth. He came against the so called church and those that were in it, in my life time I have seen the evil in the body and it sickens me. Man has stuck his nose in what the father has laid out for us and we think we’re better than God the Father. We can look all the way back to Adam and Eve to understand what I’m saying.  I will end by saying stop sending the TV preacher your tithes and give it to the local church  that is were it belongs, and give your offering to the needy not the TV preacher they don’t need it. It is so simple to give of your time and to give of your love. In Luke 6 he tells how Just read it the bible………….God Bless, Jim

Train up a child

Sunday, April 27th, 2008

As a shared in the last newsletter my house had been broken into. And I talked to the father of one of the kids who broke into my home. As we talked I learn more about that child and learned about the father. But how he raised his children and listen to the way he talked about them. And I thought back to the way I raise my children and how the lord showed me how to raise my children. And proverbs 23:13 it’s not to withhold discipline, from a child. My wife and I (Terry) had to learn the correct way to discipline. I can brag about my children now my children have a great work ethics. Every one of them feels it is better to work. Given employer a day’s work for a day’s pay, that is what I have always told them. I believe that some scriptures from proverbs that will I hope open some eyes to the way we should raise our children the way God has intended it to be. We should stop trying to Legislate morality in the world and start teaching morality in the home. The foundation of all of God’s words start in the home. We as parents need to stop counting on Teachers coaches Sunday school teachers the pastor of the church as parents start pastor own homes. Now understand something right off the bat I believe in going to church I believe in being involved in the local parish or church it is important that we fellowship is important that we have somebody to go to war were having problems in scriptural it’s important that you have other parents to talk to the share to pray with the cry on their shoulders were left one another up would be a family. Men should take the rightful place as head of the home. The scriptures say in the first Corinthians chapter seven that a man or woman leave their parents (, paraphrasing right now) two Cleve one another, now what is that saying, it’s saying they leave the home to be married. I believe that were responsible for our children until they start their own home. I have some controversial views on things Some people don’t like them some people of all some people like to make fun of me but nonetheless I know what is God will reveal your mind to expose your heart. Like I said earlier Here are some scriptures and proverbs read them study them learn them.

I hope this helps, bless you that read this.

And his holy name Jesus Christ lord savior of all.

Jim

Hello all (When did you first believe? )

Sunday, April 27th, 2008

Here is a song that is very dear to my heart. So when you read the words read this part again

The hour I first believ’d! C.S.Lewis wrote when he first believed, he said Iwas on my way to the Zoo when I got there I believed. When did you first believe? I remember the hour and day, can you? John Newton does he wrote this amazing song tells us about the very moment.

Amazing Grace”

Amazing grace, how sweet the sound
That sav’d a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found,
Was blind, but now I see.

’Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
And grace my fears reliev’d;
How precious did that grace appear,
The hour I first believ’d!

Thro’ many dangers, toils and snares,
I have already come;
’Tis grace has brought me safe thus far,
And grace will lead me home.

The Lord has promis’d good to me,
His word my hope secures;
He will my shield and portion be,
As long as life endures.

Yes, when this flesh and heart shall fail,
And mortal life shall cease;
I shall possess, within the veil,
A life of joy and peace.

The earth shall soon dissolve like snow,
The sun forbear to shine;
But God, who call’d me here below,
Will be forever mine.

John Newton, Olney Hymns (London: W. Oliver, 1779)

Hello all

Sunday, April 27th, 2008

One morning while I was watching the news they reported a city in Maine was going to vote on whether or not to give birth control pills to middle school aged young girls without telling their parents. Friends this is the same state that once wanted to abolish the right of a clergyman to marry. They wanted to rule only a state official to have the power to marry.

Now we as parents have been given the responsibility by God to Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Prov 22:6

Prov 17: 6 Children’s children are the crown of old men; and the glory of children are their fathers.

Prov 20: 7 The just man walketh in his integrity: his children are blessed after him.

Prov 31: 28 Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her.

Eph 6: 1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.

Eph 6: 4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

When you read these scriptures do you see anything that tells us to sign over our parental rights to none believing people? How is it we do it every day of our lives. We read books after books on how to raise our children. If they have “Dr.” in front or a “PhD” behind their name we race after their folly like a dog returns to his vomit. Did not our Lord tell us in the gospels we will know them by their fruits?  Well, the fruits I see are mass ramped shootings and murders on campuses all across the country, more rapes and death amongst young people than ever before, campus police and metal detectors are standard modes of operation in the school systems today.  If you get caught fighting as a high school student you are automatically taken to jail and your parents have to come bail you out and go before a judge of the courts, and pay a fine. Isn’t it ironic the only time parents are asked to participate is when money is exchanged?  They pass condoms out like candy. I don’t know about you but that’s like saying skim to a dog.

Brothers and sisters, fellow believers I believe it’s time we take the public’s school systems back over.  Because the school board did rule in favor of the distribution of birth control pills to our middle school aged children. They already can abort and murder our unborn grandchildren without our knowledge what’s next?

Met a woman and she was pride of the fate she was going to school to be a marriage consoler, now this woman has been married multiple times. Some of the people that teach our children live a different life not one of severing the lord. Yet we hand over our little ones gladly. Now I know what the Lord told us. When it comes to my children I want to sever the Lord.  Fellow believers look at who is watching over your blessing from the Lord.

Blessing Jim

To God be the glory.

When we read in Psalms 51 David is crying out to God because Father sent the Prophet Nathan. Nathan Pointed out the sin David had committed in the eyes of God.

I’m reminded of this because of what I’ve seen on television the last few days, and how Christians feel about pointing out sin in their brother’s lives. I have used the excuse that I’m not called to be a pastor so I don’t get involved in people’s lives. Although the Father has been dealing with me in this area, showing me as a servant or minister I need to be involved in people’s lives in other words be more of a people person. So why am I bring all this up I see that we have to be involved with people and stick our nose in their lives and love them.

 1 John 5:17

17 All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.

KJV

You see at one point we are all pastors to somebody we pastor our children or walking down the street we become their shepherd for a moment in time. You see in times past we’ve ignored speaking out to help others it’s got to stop we need to act on that push from God. In the scriptures it says that God will put us as stumbling blocks to people.

(Eze 3:17)  Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word of my mouth, and give them warning from me.

(Eze 3:18)  When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.

(Eze 3:19)  Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.

(Eze 3:20)  Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand.

(Eze 3:21)  Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul.

I see it’s time we get involved in our brothers lives.  Start loving one another, God loved us, In Revelations, Jesus says he is standing at the door of our heart knocking and all we have to do is open it.  Is that not getting involved in our lives? God wants to be involved in every aspect of our daily lives.  May The God of Glory bless your lives. Jim O

My Last message of 2007

Sunday, April 27th, 2008

As a minster of Jesus Christ, I can see the way the Church is headed, what I have seen is heart breaking. In this year 2007, we have seen evangelists on TV begging for money, yet they live like rock stars having many homes that range in the millions, although they have tax free monies, they continue to beg for more to feed the poor. Who do they serve God or money?

Jesus said In Matthew 24:4&5:

4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

We have all seen their lies, yet we still run to throw our hard earned money at these salivating false prophets every time they say give it to me.

I have been a Christian for 28 years and in those years I have seen the hypocrisy and greed in the television evangelist. Marjoe Gunther an evangelist in the early ‘60s filmed a auto biography about himself as a child evangelist up to the day he quit preaching hypocrisy.  That film with its honesty and mind numbing truth shows the corruption in the love of money. Nowhere in the scriptures has Jesus or God the father told us to seek riches. It does however say in the Bible, God’s written word, not lay up silver or gold, but to lay up riches in Heaven were rust cannot touch it.

In the last 20 years those of us who have been watching the news have seen the downfall of mega churches as they crumble over either the love of money or lust.

In Matthew 24 Jesus talks about the last days there will be perilous times and the hearts of many will wax cold.  Are we not seeing that today in the New Age movement, the Muslim, and gay rights movements?  It’s legal to murder our unborn children.  Are we not living in the last days as it says in revelations’ that God would that you be either be cold or hot but because we are lukewarm he will spew us out of his mouth?

It’s time that we as Christians fall on our faces before God and repent of our sins of wicked ways and complacency.

Let’s do something in the year 2008, and remember what it is that the Lord would have you do. Repent of laziness, being lukewarm, and cowardice.  Let’s remember our soldiers, their families and the civilians in Iraq. Pray for all of them.  Also, remember Revival fires Ministries in your prayers.

Thank you, May God bless you and your family richly in 2008,

In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, Jim

An Evangelical Rethink on Divorce?

Sunday, April 27th, 2008

On questions relating to the Bible’s treatment of family and morals, one might expect assurance, if not rigidity, from Evangelical Christianity. So, it may surprise many to learn how “live” the topic of divorce remains in Evangelical circles. Last month, the cover story of the monthly Christianity Today was titled “When to Separate What God has Joined: A Closer Reading on the Bible on Divorce.” The heated controversy provoked by the story showed how Biblically flexible some Evangelicals can be - especially when God’s word seems at odds not just with modern American behavior, but also with simple human kindness.

As the article’s author, the British Evangelical scholar David Instone-Brewer, points out, for most of 2,000 years Christians have viewed divorce through two scriptural citations. In Matthew, the Pharisees ask Christ, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any cause?” Jesus refers to the Old Testament and then replies, “Whoever divorces a wife, except for sexual indecency, commits adultery.” The apostle Paul adds in the book First Corinthians that a Christian is “not bound” to a non-Christian spouse who abandons him. Simple, right?

Instone-Brewer radically reinterprets the first passage using, of all things, quotation marks. The Greek of the New Testament didn’t always contain them, and scholars agree that sometimes they must be added in to make sense of it. Instone-Brewer, an expert in Jewish thought during Jesus’s era, writes that Christ’s interlocutors were not asking him whether there was any cause at all for divorce, but whether he supported something called “any-cause” divorce, a term a little bit like “no-fault” that allowed husbands to divorce wives for any reason at all. Instone-Brewer claims Jesus’s “no” was a response to this idea, and that his “except for sexual indecency” condition was not a statement of the sole exemption from God’s blanket prohibition, but merely Christ’s reiteration of one of several divorce permissions in the Old Testament - one he felt the “any-time” advocates had exaggerated. Finally, Instone-Brewer tallies four grounds for divorce he finds affirmed in both Old and New Testaments: adultery, emotional and sexual neglect, abandonment (by anyone) and abuse.

Christianity Today has written previously on divorce, often bemoaning how easy it is in today’s America. However, the Instone-Brewer essay appeared to be its editors’ attempt to offer Evangelicals an escape from a classic dilemma. The “plain sense” of Jesus’s words without quotes seems clear enough, but also inhumane: how could a loving God forbid divorce, even by omission, in cases of wife-beating, or of abandonment by a Christian spouse?

Each branch of Christianity deals with divorce in its own way: Catholicism bans it entirely, but many divorced and remarried couples nonetheless find that their conscience permits them to take Communion. Liberal Protestantism accepted divorce some decades ago without much engagement of the scriptural issue. Evangelicals define themselves as being tightly bound by scripture. But besides the humanitarian problem, there are some uncomfortable facts on the ground: The divorce rate among Evangelicals, which first became news after polls released by the Barna Research Group in 2001, has been as high or higher than the national average.

The Evangelical movement has actually made tremendous accommodations given the strictures it lives under. Ministries for the newly divorced are common at mega churches; and on the historically less-rigid Pentecostal side of the spectrum, celebrity preachers Juanita Bynum and Paula White both recently announced their intention to divorce. Most experts interviewed for this story attested that whereas 30 years ago, a pastor might well order a battered woman home to return her husband, that is rare today.

More conservative Evangelicals remain uneasy about divorce. If a split itself is inescapable, notes Christianity Today editor Andy Crouch, “remarriage is where the rubber meets the road,” and many remarried couples find themselves denied church membership. Says Russel Moore, dean of the 16.3 million-member Southern Baptist Convention’s influential Southern Seminary, “We teach our future pastors that marriage is a lifelong, one-flesh union.” Any woman in an abusive marriage should “leave that situation,” he acknowledges, and a “majority” probably accept remarriage. Asked if he does, Moore demurred: “Let me think about that for a little bit. I could answer in a way that would be very easily misunderstood.”

Evangelical conflict on the topic was obvious in reader response to the Instone Brewer essay. Initially the mail was heavily negative. The most stinging broadside sas a column by John Piper, a respected theological conservative, that called the essay not just weak but “tragic.” The magazine’s editor in chief, David Neff, felt the need to explain online that “Instone-Brewer’s article did not… give people carte blanche on divorce.” The mail eventually leveled off at 60% negative to 40% positive.

Still, the controversy suggests that even the country’s most rule-bound Christians will search for a fresh understanding of scripture when it seems unjust to them. The implications? Flexibility on divorce may mean that evangelicals could also rethink their position on such things as gay marriage, as a generation of Christians far more accepting of homosexuality begins to move into power. (The ever-active Barna folks have found that 57% of “born-again” Christians age 16-29 criticize their own church for being “anti-homosexual.”) It could also give heart to a certain twice-divorced former New York mayor who is running for President and seeking the conservative vote. But that may be pushing things a bit.

How do you want to be remembered?

Sunday, April 27th, 2008

I was lying in bed the other night and out of the blue God asked me how you want to be remembered. It was like my life left me. At the ripe   age of fifty three it hit home. “You all know what I mean” ok God help me just how do I want to be remembered/ what does your written word say?

Prov 22:1

22:1 A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold.

 Eccl 7:1

7:1 A good name is better than precious ointment; and the day of death than the day of one’s birth.

KJV

God has said to have a good name, one that people will remember. Man did I do same thinking that night. Do I have a good name yes, no maybe? I thank that we all could look in to it and see. What I’m getting at is do people see God in you. That’s how I what to be remembered I want floks to see the God in me not me.

Honor (Honour)

Ex 20

20:1 And God spake all these words, saying,

2 I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

I believe the Father laid the subject of honor on my heart to search it out. Let’s look at what Moses was given from the Father, with the commandments. First and foremost is to have no other Gods before the Lord of Lords, most people think that’s as if worshiping other gods and it is. However, let’s go one step further and put it to the test. At this time in life it could be almost anything, like a job, kids, money, TV, anything or anyone that consumes your attention. Just who is the god in your life?

I have seen for many years how church leaders make buildings of earth their god. The bigger the building the better and we want more seats than the church down the road. We have exalted these leaders and bow to them as if they are god. Yet still, Jesus did die for all that believe on him, we all know that in our hearts and minds, the Lord Jesus said in the Gospels we are sheep lead to the slaughter. We dishonor God our Father when we exalt these leaders above Him. As I look at the church today I watch these big name preachers as they lie through their teeth on television, they seem to love money and to see their names in lights more than God. Where is the honor in that? Yet we run to them.

We have a generation of children growing up today that does not honor their parents; another commandment from God the Father. It’s time we as God fearing children lift our praises, repent of our sins to the Father and to start praying for the young ones in Christ that they will run to Jesus and not to the world for love and acceptance. There were some of us in the eighties that fell for the name it and claim it church, and then in the nineties a lot of these men became discouraged and fell. Yet we still run in groves to fall down to worship these leaders.

In Matt 24: 10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. 12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Jesus said it and I believe every word,

Ex 20:4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:

5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

7 Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.

13 Thou shalt not kill.

14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.

15 Thou shalt not steal.

16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.

17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour’s.
